Tired of having expensive medications dripping down your face?

4 Reasons To Use The Nanodropper

  1. Reduce Waste - Smaller drops stay in your eye. No more medication running down your cheek or being drained by your tear ducts.

  2. Extend Bottle Life - Smaller drops mean more doses per bottle. No more running out of medication before the end of the month.

  3. Save Money - Smaller drops allow you to get more use out of each bottle. Same bottle, means more doses, means cheaper drops.

  4. Improve Experience - Smaller drops are friendly to your eye and wallet. They may help to reduce side effects and improve adherence.

The Nanodropper is the first and only adaptor for eyedrop bottles that reduces the drop volume by over 60%. Smaller drops have been shown to reduce waste, cost, and side effects of eyedrops.

Designed to improve every aspect of the eyedrop experience.

The ergonomic design of the pop-off cap is much easier to work with than a typical screw-on. The flat top also provides a platform to rest the cap on.

The tip is elongated, allowing the user to hold the bottle further from the eye and creates an arrow-like effect for aiming. It’s also made of a soft and flexible, medical-grade silicone that is friendly to the eye.

The ridged base is easy to hold on to and makes instillation a breeze. The ridges have an anti-roll design integrated, preventing your eyedrop bottle from rolling around.

The Nanodropper fits most medicated eyedrop bottles. Remove the original cap, attach the Nanodropper, and you’re good to go!

The Nanodropper adaptor is a sterile medical device and is not intended to be taken off the bottle once installed.

IMPORTANT - We recommend using one adaptor per medication bottle and discard at the end of the bottle-life. For more information on how many to order, click the button above.

STEP 1: CHECK COMPATIBILITY - CLICK HERE

Nanodropper is a one-size-fits-most for a specific bottle type. Please click the button above and take time to read the information on that page carefully.

STEP 2: DETERMINE HOW MANY TO ORDER

The Nanodropper adaptor is a sterile medical device and is not intended to be taken off the bottle once installed. We recommend using one adaptor per medication bottle and discard at the end of the bottle-life. There are no FDA-approved home sterilization methods for medical devices. Reuse of the Nanodropper may lead to contamination, infection, and injury.

We recommend that you talk to your eyecare provider to determine if the Nanodropper is right for your treatment plan. For general guidance, the American Academy of Ophthalmology recommends that you throw away your bottle of eyedrops 3 months after you open the bottle. Therefore, 4 adaptors is an annual supply for most treatment plans.

If you plan to use a Nanodropper on mulitple medications, be sure to purchase one adaptor per bottle. For example, if you are on two different compatible eyedrops, you will need one Nanodropper per bottle, or about 8 Nanodroppers per year.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the right size for eyedrops?

Multiple studies support that 7-10 microliters is the ideal-sized drop size for the average human eye. Typical eyedrop bottles administer upwards of 50 microliters. The Nanodropper adaptor reduces the size of each drop the ideal 10 microliter range.

Why are smaller eyedrops safer?

There’s a limited space on your eye that can hold extra liquid. After that limit is met, the excess will be drained by your tear ducts or blinked out of your eye. The bigger the initial drop, the bigger your eye’s response to the foreign sensation. This means more medication is absorbed into your body, instead of just in your eye as intended by your doctor. This can have what is called “systemic side effects,” where the medication acts as if it was administered through an IV. Because the severity is volume-dependent, the smaller drops have been shown in some clinical studies to be safer.

I use 2 medications, can I share one Nanodropper for both bottles?

The Nanodropper adaptor is a sterile medical device and is not intended to be taken off the bottle once installed. We recommend using one adaptor per medication to prevent risk of contamination, infection, and injury.

Can I clean and reuse the Nanodropper adaptor?

The Nanodropper adaptor is a sterile medical device and is not intended to be taken off the bottle once installed. Please use one adaptor per medication bottle and discard at the end of the bottle-life. Home sterilization has not been studied with the adaptor, and can lead to contamination, infection, and injury. Do not attempt to clean or reuse any parts of the Nanodropper adaptor.

When should I throw away the bottle of eyedrops?

Expiration of medications is a tricky science. Our recommendation is always to have a conversation with your eye doctor and follow their instructions. For general guidance, the American Academy of Ophthalmology recommends that you throw away your bottle of eyedrops 3 months after you open the bottle.
