Even rubbing the earlobes will give you a pleasant feel.

Itchy eyes are the main reason for eye rubbing. Patients with keratoconus suffer from seasonal allergies. Allergic conjunctivitis is managed by using anti-histamines and mast-cell stabilizers. Use it twice a day for effective results. Oral histamines should not be used for a long time as it can cause dry eyes. They are not at all advised for contact lens wearers. It is also recommended to use preservative free eye drops. Cold eye packs and gel packs are also known to ease itching.
